How to use your French Butter dish

This is the quickest, cleanest way to fill your French butter dish. -Take a cold stick of butter from the refrigerator, unwrap it, and place it on its end in your butter dish cup. Place the wrapper on top. Walk away. :) The next time you walk by (10+ minutes later), the butter has softened enough to easily press into the cup. Use the wrapper to press the butter to the bottom to insure good contact.
Add approximately 1/4 - 1/2ā€ water into the base to provide the air seal for the butter cup.
Leave your butter dish on the counter and enjoy soft, fresh butter. Change the water at least once a week, or whenever you notice it needs it. Wash thoroughly in the dishes or by hand at least every 4-6 refillings to maintain freshness.
